CENTER STREET DAZE

 By Michael Horne

The gentle folk of the Riverwest neighborhood held their annual Center Street Festival between N. Humboldt Blvd. and N. Holton St.
Activities included the Sexy Bike Wash, which was part performance art and wholly beneficial for the bike.
Five bucks is a good payday for bike washer Jake Newborn.
Armahn snakes his way through the Fuji Flair frame while Jake does his stuff with a rag. (I cleaned up afterward.)
Armahn gives Fuji a good buffing with his well-appointed posterior.

The bike wash was near the middle of Center Street, not far from the site of a shooting the previous evening that may have dimmed the crowds.

On the west end of the street, for example, there was bowling at Erik Peterson's house, while a friend whipped up a batch of homebrew right there on the sidewalk.

I guess I'm going to have to learn to rotate these pictures before I post them.
