Lori A. Hassett has applied for the Class "B" tavern license for Points East Pub, 1501 N. Jackson St., at the northwest corner of E. Lyon St. It's just a block east of the Y-NOT II, which has been much in the news lately as a source of political intrigue.
Hassett will pay $7,500 per month rent for the 160-person capacity pub which is owned by Mark Rasmussen.
Rasmussen was convicted of Child Pornography charges in Milwaukee County Circuit Court earlier this year, and faces certain restrictions, such as Huber residency, that might impact his ability to operate his tavern. He is also prohibited internet access, including to such sites as Point East Pub's own.
The club discontinued live music in December 2009 with a memorable Zappafest featuring the Danglers, Dr. Chow's Love Medicine and others.
Rasmussen made many changes to the club since he purchased the former Brett's from Brett Mazzone in 1994, restoring its architectural integrity and cementing its presence as a neighborhood gathering spot.

Here is the application of Lori A. Hassett for Points East Pub.
